Why does every person need Jesus Christ? Among the many reasons, here are just a few.

  1. Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the beloved Son of God. He is the Creator of all things in heaven and on earth. All things were created by Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16)
  2. Jesus is called the "Word," and Scripture tells us that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. In the flesh, Christ is the visible expression of God, the Incarnate Word. (John 1:14)
  3. God demonstrated His love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The penalty for sin is death, but Jesus Christ took our place and paid the price for our sins. (Romans 5:8; Romans 6:23; Romans 3:23-26)
  4. After three days in the grave, Jesus rose from the dead. He is the risen Christ who has broken the power of sin and death and is alive forevermore. He later ascended into Heaven and is at the right hand of God. (1 Corinthians 15:4; 1 Peter 3:22)
  5. Jesus Christ will show you the path of life and fill you with the joy of His presence. (Psalm 16:11)
  6. He will help you through life's struggles and decisions so that you may experience the abundant life He came to give. (John 10:10)
  7. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
  8. We were not made for this life alone. God has placed eternity in the human heart, and Scripture teaches that our eternal destiny matters. Jesus prepares those who belong to Him for eternal life with God. (John 3:16; Matthew 25:46; Ecclesiastes 3:11)
  9. Jesus Christ offers forgiveness of sin and the promise of being with Him after this earthly life is over. (2 Corinthians 5:8)
  10. Jesus Christ will return in power and glory. He will be revealed as King of kings and Lord of lords. (Revelation 19:11-21)

He Is God's Gift

God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the price for our sins. (John 3:16)

Jesus gave Himself for us. The price of our redemption was His precious blood, shed on the cross so that those who believe in Him may be redeemed, forgiven, and set free from sin.

Jesus Christ is God's indescribable gift. Those who receive Him by faith are given forgiveness and eternal life. (2 Corinthians 9:15; John 11:25-26)

Conclusion

If you have never received God's gift of salvation, you can turn to Him today. Admit your need for forgiveness, place your faith in Jesus Christ, and receive the salvation God freely offers through Him.

Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
