The Reasons!
Why is it that every person living needs Jesus Christ? Among the many reasons here are just a few.
1. Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the beloved Son of God. He is the creator of all things in heaven and earth. All things were created by Him, and for Him (Colossians 1:16).
2. We are told that Jesus was called the "Word" and that the Word "became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14). In the flesh Christ is the physical expression of God. The Incarnate Word.
3. We're told, that God showed his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died on the cross for us (Romans 5:8). According to God's law, the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). Jesus Christ took our place and paid the penalty for our sins (Romans 3:23-26).
4. After three days in the grave, Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:4). He is the risen Christ, who has broken the power of sin and death and Hell and is alive forevermore. Later He ascended into Heaven and is at the right hand of God (1 Peter 3:22).
5. Jesus Christ will show you the way of life and fill you with the joy of His presence (Psalm 16:11).
6. He will help you daily get through struggles and decisions so you can live an abundant life (John 10:10).
7. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
8. The Bible says that we are eternal beings and we were not made for this life alone (John 3:16). We were made for eternity, destined for glory (Heaven) or horror (Hell) (Matthew 25:46). Deep down inside most of us sense eternity, even if we don't know much about God (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Jesus will help you prepare for your future and a glorious eternity in Heaven (2 Timothy 3:16).
9. If you wish, Jesus Christ will forgive you of all your sins and when you die, He will take you home to heaven to be with Him forever (2 Corinthians 5:8).
10. Jesus Christ will one day soon return in power a second time. Coming from Heaven, He will be seen visibly and bodily, and will establish His reign as King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelations 19:11-21).
